Ware & Tear is an independent video game repair, resale, restoration, customization, and electronics service business. By using this website, placing an order, submitting a repair request, mailing in a device, purchasing a product, or contacting us for service, you agree to the terms and notices listed below.
Ware & Tear is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, or authorized by Nintendo, Sony, PlayStation, Microsoft, Xbox, Valve, Meta, or any other manufacturer or brand mentioned on this website. All product names, console names, trademarks, and logos belong to their respective owners and are used only to identify compatible products, parts, and repair services.
All repairs are performed based on the condition of the device when it is received and inspected. Some devices may have hidden damage, liquid damage, prior repair attempts, missing parts, damaged boards, stripped screws, corrosion, software issues, or other problems that are not visible until inspection. Estimates and turnaround times are not guaranteed until the device has been reviewed.
Customers are responsible for backing up and removing personal data before submitting or mailing in a device. Ware & Tear is not responsible for lost data, saved games, accounts, passwords, downloads, memory cards, storage devices, or personal information left on a device.
Mail-in customers are responsible for packaging devices safely. Ware & Tear is not responsible for shipping damage, carrier delays, lost packages, missing accessories, or items sent without proper protection. Do not include games, memory cards, chargers, cases, or accessories unless requested.
Any warranty offered by Ware & Tear is limited to the specific repair or part provided by Ware & Tear. Warranty coverage does not apply to unrelated issues, new damage, liquid damage, drops, misuse, tampering, unauthorized repairs, software problems, customer-installed parts, or normal wear. Eligible repairs may include a limited 3-month warranty unless otherwise stated.
Used, refurbished, restored, or custom items may show cosmetic wear, replacement parts, aftermarket components, or signs of prior use. Product photos and descriptions are provided to help customers understand item condition before purchase.
Refunds, returns, exchanges, replacements, and cancellations are handled according to Ware & Tear’s posted policies and applicable law. Completed repairs, custom items, special-order parts, opened electronics, and used items may be final sale unless otherwise required by law.
Ware & Tear reserves the right to refuse service, cancel orders, decline repairs, update pricing, correct listing errors, or limit communication with customers who submit false claims, abuse support channels, threaten staff, commit fraud, or violate store policies.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Ware & Tear is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, including loss of use, data loss, account issues, online bans, shipping delays, or damage caused by third parties. Ware & Tear’s total liability is limited to the amount paid for the specific product or service related to the claim, unless prohibited by law.
Ware & Tear may update this Legal Notice at any time. Continued use of this website, purchases, repair submissions, or support requests after updates are posted means you accept the revised terms.
